Messonghi is a small peaceful resort situated about 20Km. south of Corfu Town and the airport. It is a quiet and peaceful village.
with a sandy beach and the majority of facilities all within 100mtrs. Messonghi was named after the river Messonghi  which flows into its beach and is the natural border with the adjacent village, Moraitika.

A region of great beauty in Messonghi is the place from which passes the small river. That is where, you will see the small fishing boats moored next to the verdant, filled with trees, river banks. The inhabitants of Messonghi are still occupied with fishing, in combination with the touristy services. Although Messonghi is small it does still have all the amenities that you might need, there’s a good selection of restaurants and bars, supermarkets, bakery and suvenir shops too, most of which are located around the beach area or along the main road that leads up the coast

Messonghi offers a great opportunity for those that want to explore with a rental boat the Corfu coast in their own time . Alternatively you can book yourself on to one of the boat tours that are also available at the northern end of the beach. Also you can arrange cruises to Paxos, Sivota etc.
